Weekend Breakfast

A breakfast on the weekend is different than the type of morning fare that one may cook during the week. Weekend breakfasts include some care, decision-making and creativity to meet expectations of a nice, relaxing weekend.
The best type of pancakes are not made in a box, but could easily be made from scratch.
Best Weekend Pancakes
Ingredients
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Add a cup of blueberries or chocolate chips (optional)
Whisk the batter until everything is mixed completely. Set a non-stick pan on the stove at medium heat. A a 1/4 inch of butter to the heated skillet. Then take a laddle full of batter and place it into the hot pan.

Watch the pancake bubble on the top before you flip it over. Then turn it over until it is golden on both sides. Repeat the process until all the batter is cooked. Serve the pancakes on a plate that encourages a buffet style selection.
